The casino dealer is involved in running the poker, baccarat, blackjack, craps and roulette tables at the casino. Casino dealers are responsible for operating the game, accepting the bets, and explaining the game rules to customers if required. They might also be involved in alerting security to signs of suspicious game play. Many of the knowledgeable dealers are likely to participate at several different tables throughout a typical shift. If looking to pursue a career in the gaming industry, there isn't any requirement for formal training, but it will be highly beneficial to have completed and obtained certification from a reputable school while also having the right temperament and personality for increasing the fun and enjoyment at the tables.

Here are some of the main aspects to successfully applying for the role of a casino dealer:

Education: in order to apply for the job vacancies as a casino dealer most of the casinos will require at minimum a high school diploma or similar certificate is held by the candidate. Since the job of a casino dealer is highly related to numbers it is likely that any interview will include a math skills test that relates to the type of problems seen on the tables.

Formal training: a casino dealer needs to be knowledgeable of the basic dealing techniques, procedures, and game rules. Many of the potential dealers are likely to complete a specialized course at a technical or gaming school in the hope of earning the right certification. A quality training program is likely to incorporate such learning as the procedures and rules for the main table and card games, while also learning about the gaming regulations and laws that are applicable in the local state. Beyond the dedicated schools, you might also find that some of the community colleges are able to provide training lessons for the would-be dealer. Also, many of the reputable casinos offer a variety of programs for providing in-house training.

License: casino dealers are required to hold a license to legally operate in the casinos, and these licenses are issued by the state-licensing bureau. A full application will need to be submitted to get the license and includes providing photo identification and proof of residency. A background check is part of the process to check for criminal records, while certain states also check that no late tax fees are due. A dealer with a criminal record isn't likely to be eligible for applying for the license.

Sports betting is fun and rewarding. Fun because of the excitement you would feel while the game is advancing. Rewarding because of the possible earnings you will get if you win from your bets. Below are some sports betting strategies you could use.

Understand Your Math
Math is very much involved in betting. Knowledge in math is what helps line-makers earn profit from the game. Math knowledge will also help you to know what your odds of winning are; of how much you will get if you win, etc.

Know The Sport
Knowledge about the sport will help you in going through it efficiently. It is possible that certain terminology in that sporting activity will be used so you need to familiarize yourself with them. Furthermore, you have to know the critical factors of that event if you want to gain success in your pursuit.

Handicap The Situation
In most instances, sports betting enthusiasts commit the mistake of handicapping the game rather than the situation. It turns out that bettors wager on the teams which they think will beat the opponent based on the past game records. Yet, they do not acknowledge the possibility that undervalued teams could win this time because the situation is favoring them. Therefore, you need to assess the present situation; of whether it is an advantage or a disadvantage for a certain team, rather than just based your picks according to who lost or won in the previous matches.

Bet What You Can Offer To Lose
It is always a must in any betting event that you only stake what is okay for you to lose. Before going to a game or wagering money, be sure you have already set a bankroll or your total budget for the activity. When you stake, use only an appropriate percentage of your bankroll for each game, ideally 2-6% of your budget. Discipline and patience are significant for attaining success and these principles are best practiced through your money management skills.

Use Reliable Handicapping Services
It is required that you perform some serious works researching and analyzing the results of the games so you would have useful statistics to use and base your actions on. If all these tasks seem taxing for you, you simply rely on a good handicapping service. Be careful, though in trusting just any handicapping service available. It is important that you choose a service that has been proven reliable with its long record of helpfulness to bettor

Have you ever used the easy pick numbers to play the Powerball? I am going to take a wild guess and bet you have. However, If you have not played the Powerball using easy pick than you could be missing out on the biggest opportunity of a life time.

In fact I will go as far as to say you are costing your self a million dollars or more in lost prize money.

What? I know it sounds unbelievable and before you tune me out and stop reading let me explain my point.

The Powerball and every lotto game in fact functions on a random pick ball system. Since this is the case it is only logical that the winning numbers would be contained in an easy pick. The dilemma is picking the exact number combination so you can win.

My friends the winning numbers are in the easy pick and by reading this article I will show you how to use them to win in 3 steps.

Step 1

Purchase a computer generated number pick every time you play the Powerball.

What? Are you asking me to spend more money? Yes I am and for good reason. Here is the logic behind what may at first glance seem as madness. The particular numbers you hold dear are a long shot at best. But you keep playing them religiously hoping that the odds will be in your favor and someday you will win. Does this sound familiar.

Let me tell you the simple and painful truth.

Every day that you play your favorite numbers solely is another win for the lotto board. In fact you may be giving ample opportunity for some novice to win at your expense.

You are too smart to let this happen to you. So please, pay for an additional computer pick with your Powerball purchase. This may be difficult at first and your budget may not give you the luxury to afford an additional purchase.

If this is the case try to purchase an extra ticket once every two weeks.

As you begin to win use the additional cash to increase your frequency from every two weeks, to one week and eventually to every time you play the Powerball.

Step 2

If the easy pick combination you purchased displays only single or middle digits than it is acceptable to play your number combination.

The object of playing the Powerball is to win. Being loyal to your particular set of numbers are noble but as pointed out earlier you are giving your money away to the lotto board or Powerball novices.

If you doubt my logic just remember that statistically most of the Powerball jackpot's are won from a computer generated pick.

Step 3

I can tell you that if given the choice of playing at a casino with an automatic shuffler or one that does not is a no brainer for me. I am going to choose the one with the automatic shuffler every time. The one major exception would be the WSOP in Las Vegas. During the WSOP they have hundreds of tables going at the same time at the Rio and I'm sure it's just not cost effective to put a shuffler in everyone of those tables. You really see the difference in the speed of the game when the dealer is doing the shuffling as opposed to the automatic shuffler.

Cash Games vs. Tournies

Most casinos on the strip in Las Vegas all have the automatic shuffler for cash games. It is in the casino's best interest to invest in the machine because it pays for itself in the long run. The bottom line is the more hands that are dealt the more rake that is going to be dropped and this is how the house makes it's money. A lot of times I've noticed that when certain casinos have tournaments they don't use the machine. At Caesar's Palace for example, the dealers do all the shuffling even though they use the machine for the cash games. The Venetian on the other hand, uses the automatic shuffler for their tournaments. A lot of players will choose the Venetian tournaments over Caesars for this reason alone. The automatic shuffler is faster, cleaner, and just leaves no doubt that the cards are being shuffled correctly.

Hands per hour with Automatic Shuffler vs Live Dealer

Asking around most people will tell you that live dealers average somewhere between 20-25 hands per hour. Of course the faster ones may deal 30 hands an hour on average. The automatic shuffler increases that number to about 35 hands per hour. That may not sound like a lot but if you play an 8-10 session that can really add up especially over the course of a week or even a month.

Integrity of the Game

I don't think you have to worry about this so much on the strip in Vegas, but in some smaller casinos across the country I'm not so sure. Any time you introduce the human element there are going to be mistakes and dishonesty when money is involved. Today's computerized, automatic shufflers are programmed to shuffle the cards as random as possible. They don't have friends at the table or certain regulars that they know will tip them better if they win a big pot. Live dealers on the other hand have these temptations everyday. It would be easy for a live dealer to manipulate the shuffle to help out certain players if they wanted to do that. Believe me it happens in certain places. Also, the machine doesn't get distracted. It always shuffles the cards the same way. I do admit that if a dealer did have the motivation to cheat then the automatic shuffler is not going to stop them. It just makes it more difficult.

Home Games

It used to be that you were out of luck if you wanted to put in one of these high dollar machines in your own table. Reason being is because the technology is so valuable the maker wouldn't sell you one. He would only lease them to the casinos. He knew he could make more money that way. In 2008 one entrepreneur set to build his own and he came up with a version that cost less than $500. You can read about it on CardPlayer.com here Shuffler for Home Games

This year's wins and losses are still a recent memory, but the oddsmakers are already out with their 2013-2014 season Super Bowl predictions. For diehard NFL and NCAA bettors, this is the time to get in on the early action. NFL futures betting has some of the highest payouts you'll see anywhere. The bottom line? The earlier you get your bets in, the higher your payouts are likely to be. Your $100 bet could earn you as much as $20,000 - if the Oakland Raiders or Jacksonville Jaguars pull off an amazing season. You'll get similar payoffs - and even higher ones - if you're willing to go out on a limb and bet NCAA football futures, where some teams are bucking 500 to 1 odds. Your $100 bet could pay out a cool $50,000. Hey, BC could pull off a miracle again, right? However, if you're looking for a safer bet, you can subscribe to a 2013-14 NFL and NCAA football picks package for expert advice on where to put your $100 for the best chance of winning the most money.

Super Bowl Futures Odds

Right now, the oddsmakers have the Denver Broncos (6-1), New England Patriots (6-1) and the San Francisco 49ers (13-2) as favorites to win the 2014 Super Bowl. That's hardly a surprise. Here's the thing, though. If you're playing a long game, you could play it totally safe and still come out $500 ahead by betting on the favorites.

Or not. The reality is that in four of the last five seasons, the eventual Super Bowl winners started the season with odds ranging from 12-1 to 25-1. Anyone who took the Saints before the season started in 2010, for example, walked away with $25 for every buck they bet. Who could have figured that? Someone did, and chances are that someone got his tip from an expert who figured up the odds, used his insider knowledge and tipped off his subscribers that the Saints were the team to watch this year.

What does the 2014 Super Bowl have in store? If history is any indicator, this might be the year to pick the Green Bay Packers, who are starting out at 12-1 odds, the Atlanta Falcons (16-1) or the Houston Texans (20-1). If you sign up for 2013-14 NFL and NCAA football picks, you can keep your eye on the line and get great advice on which one is your best bet.
